Chief Minister Mr. Trivendra Singh Rawat greets people on International yoga Day

Dehradun: Uttarakhand Chief Minister Mr. Trivendra Singh Rawat has greeted the people of the state on the occasion of International yoga Day. On the eve of International yoga Day, Chief Minister Mr. Trivendra Singh Rawat said that it was a matter of pride that Dehradun is chosen to host the main function of the International Yoga Day. This will help Dehradun and Uttarakhand to get recognition at the international level. Chief Minister said that we must resolve to do yoga every day and make the entire world healthy. He said that to make yoga a public campaign the cooperation of the people is necessary.

Chief Minister said that it was due to the efforts of Prime Minister Mr. Narendra Modi that the strength of yoga was recognized by the world and June 21 every year is being celebrated as International Yoga Day. Prime Minister Mr. Modi is working to unite the world through Yoga. He said that only by making yoga a part of our daily schedule, we could realize the dream of making India healthy. For healthy India it is necessary to take yoga to every village and home. Yoga has given a unique identity to India at the global level. Chief Minister said that since the Prime Minister is arriving in Uttarakhand on occasion of Yoga day, the entire atmosphere of Uttarakhand has become soaked in Yoga. He appealed to people to participate in public yoga programme wherever they are being held on the occasion.

Chief Minister Mr. Trivendra Singh Rawat said that yoga is an integral part of Indian civilization, culture and lifestyle. He said that recognition of yoga at the international level by the efforts of Prime Minister Mr. Narendra Modi is a matter of pride for the countrymen. Chief Minister Mr. Trivendra Singh Rawat said that Yoga should be spread to every individual. Yoga is a resolve to make world healthy and doing yoga is helpful in that. The river of Yoga started from ‘Devbhoomi’ Uttarakhand, he said.

Chief Minister Mr. Trivendra Singh Rawat went to Forest Research Institute (FRI) campus to oversee the arrangements made for International Yoga Day celebrations on Wednesday. He directed the officials to make all necessary arrangements for the event.

Secretary Ayush R.K. Sudhanshu, Garhwal Commissioner Dilip Jawalkar and Dehradun District Magistrate S.A. Murugesan were present on the occasion.
