CM held a review authorities meeting at the Secretariat in regards to Corona Virus

The Chief Minister, Trivendra Singh Rawat held a state level meeting with the district magistrates via video conference on Saturday. This was to review the preparation made to combat Corona virus in Uttarakhand. The officials were instructed by the Chief Minister to take necessary actions to fight Corona Virus. He instructed all the district magistrates to set up isolation wards in their districts and arrange all necessary medicines, trained doctors and paramedic staff. He also instructed to arrange dedicated trained staff and ambulances to transfer any suspected patients.

To avoid unnecessary rumors continuous communication to be used on regular basis.

The chief minister said, virtual classes and universities can be used across the state for precaution and prevention of Corona viruses. Proper advertisement should be done to protect against Corona Virus. The head of various departments were told to work and effectively communicate with each other while fighting with Corona Virus. He also directed the district magistrates to expedite exchange of information through district information offices by the CHIEF Medical Officers continuously to check any rumors regarding corona virus. He directed that arrangements should also be made to avoid over-rating and black marketing of the sanitizer and masks etc. Stringent steps should be taken to check black marketing and over rating.

The CM said frequent screening should be practiced of passengers in border areas

Chief Minister Shri Trivendra directed continuous screening of passengers in adjoining border areas of China and Nepal. He directed that prompt action should be taken by the rapid response team at the state and district level on receipt of information about the suspected patient or any abnormal condition for effective prevention and control of corona virus. The Chief Minister directed the district magistrates to make all necessary arrangements and said that if there is any problem, the government should be informed immediately so that necessary arrangements can be made in time. He also instructed the officials to provide additional doctors and health services on the occasion of the Integral Mela at Champawat.

Secretary, Health and Family Welfare, Nitesh Jha briefed about the programmes being run across the state for effective prevention and control of corona virus through a presentation. He said that continuous screening and monitoring is being carried out at Indo-Nepal Border and airports. This does not have any suspected case so far. He said that the integrated helpline number 104 can be contacted to provide or take any information related to it.

District officers have been designated as nodal officers for conducting and monitoring activities conducted to prevent the infection of Corona Virus in all the districts of the state. He said that necessary arrangements of isolated beds have been done in all the districts. Also, dedicated ambulances and trained staff have been appointed. All the resources available in the public and private sector have been identified in each district. All necessary arrangements have been made to create awareness and prevent misleading information through advertisements and news for all citizens of the state to prevent corona virus infection through various means.

In this meeting, IT Advisor to the Chief Minister – Ravindra Dutt, Additional Chief Secretary – Om Prakash, Secretary in Charge – Dr. Pankaj Kumar Pandey, Secretary Department of Disaster Management – S.A. Murrugation, District magistrates and other senior officers of all the state were present
