Hindi Varsity made a tremendous jump in the rankings

Wardha: The “EW India Higher Education Rankings 2021-22” has been released by Education World to higher educational institutions in various categories based on their performance on broad parameters. This is the eighth consecutive edition of the ranking of higher education institutions in India. Mahatma Gandhi Antarrashtriya Hindi Vishwavidyalaya, Wardha A Central University Established by parliament by Act No. 3 of 1997 has made a tremendous leap in this year’s ranking. While the university was ranked 120th in 2020, it has been ranked 76th in this year’s rankings. Along with this, the university has also made it to the top 10 institutes of Maharashtra. Needless to mention that NAAC has already Accredited Hindi Varsity as ‘A’ Grade.

For this year’s ranking, the Higher Education Institutions of India was surveyed through digital media using a structured questionnaire in which 1823 selected teachers and 2133 final year students of higher education institutions across the country were contacted. They were interviewed and assessed on the parameters of excellence in higher education – the quality of faculty and faculty and research and innovation, industry interface, infrastructure, physical and academic resources and facilities, placements, entrepreneurship development programmes, etc. Based on the analysis of the data thus obtained, the higher education institutions and universities were classified into different categories.This type of ranking helps the budding students to select universities based on various parameters. Also, through this ranking, universities are helped to improve their performance on various ranking parameters and improve by identifying their strengths and weaknesses.

On this occasion the Vice-Chancellor of the University, Prof. Rajaneesh Kumar Shukla said that – Higher Educational institutions Rankings are a very important service for promoting institutional excellence and improving the quality of teaching, learning and research. They also facilitate international collaborations and perhaps most important, enable students to make informed choices for attaining their academic aspirations. They also motivate education institutions to formulate sound policies and develop robust teaching and research ecosystems.

Higher education institutions are being ranked for quality in the field of knowledge and it is indeed a source of encouragement for all of us. He said that this initiative has inculcated the habit of data management in the institutions and most of these institutes are trying to make themselves more competitive. One of the biggest challenges before India is to provide quality higher education. Prof. Shukla expressed hope that this ranking would help the University to perform better on various ranking parameters at the National and International level with a healthy competitive spirit and the University would continue to achieve its goal of excellence in the field of higher education.
