National Level Painting Competition on Energy Conservation

New Delhi: As part of “Energy Conservation Week”, being celebrated from 9th to 14th December 2019, Bureau of Energy Efficiency (BEE), under Ministry of Power, a National Level painting competition was organized in Noida and Gurugram on 12th December 2019. The participants of National competition were selected from two rounds conducted at School level and State level. The competition was conducted for the students from class 4th-9th to make them aware about the importance of Energy Conservation. The winning students will also get additional appreciation of Fixed Deposit and a Laptop apart from the cash prizes.

Over 84 lakh children participated in the National Painting Competition from schools across the country. The National Level competition took place today at two different venues, for Group A at Power Management Institute Noida, UP in association with NTPC and for Group B at, Gurugram in association with Power Grid Corporation of India. The topics for Group-A students were on the topics “Be a bright spark, lights off till it’s dark” and “Do Your Part, Be Energy Smart” whereas the competition, while the topics for Group-B students were “Energy Efficiency, a pulse for Eco building” and “Be polite. Turn off the light”.

The winners will be awarded on the National Energy Conservation Day i.e. 14th December 2019 by Shri R. K. Singh, Minister of State (IC) for Power and New & Renewable Energy and Minister of State for Skill Development & Entrepreneurship.
