Lucknow: People of UP will no longer have to bring LPG cylinders to meet their demand of cooking gas. The government is preparing to supply gas to their kitchens through pipes.
In this regard, the Central government and the Uttar Pradesh government are going to provide PNG connections to about 20 lakh families of Eastern Uttar Pradesh.
A plan to lay 2050 km long gas pipeline from Haldia in West Bengal to Jagdishpur in UP in already underway. The state government has started work on this scheme with the support of the Centre.
With the availability of PNG connection, people will get rid of the problem of carrying LPG cylinders as well as ruling out the possibility of shortage.
Work has been started on the gas pipeline scheme under the Urja Ganga Yojana of the Central Government. PNG connection will also be economical and secure.
It is worth noting that a few days ago, CM Yogi had started the supply of PNG through a pipeline in Gorakhpur by providing connections to 101 people to start with. On the occasion, the CM Yogi said that PNG would be cheaper than conventional gas cylinders and save around 35-40 percent of the consumers’ money. Along with this, the problem of carrying gas cylinders will also end by getting the supply from the pipeline.
He said that “the more you spend, the more will be the bill. That is, there will be no complaint of gas theft. Whatever the season, there will be no shortage of LPG.”
CM Yogi said that PM Modi’s vision of clean fuel is being realised through CNG and PNG. Not only this, the supply of LPG through pipes is also being started in many metros of the state including the state capital of Lucknow. PNG connections have also been given in some other cities.
