Top customers honored on Mails Day in National Postal Week by Postmaster General KK Yadav

 Department of Posts is constantly expanding the horizon of its services with new services and new technology, continuously reaching the last person of the society. Even in this age of mobile, email and social media, letters have their own importance. Even today all the important documents – Aadhar card, passport, driving license, voter ID card, PAN card, cheque book of various banks and ATM card are sent from Post Offices along with Government and court related letters. Addressing the ‘Customer Meet’ organized on ‘Mail Day’ under ‘National Postal Week’, the Postmaster General of Varanasi Region, Mr. Krishna Kumar Yadav made the above remarks. During this, Life Insurance Corporation of India, Divisional Office, Bhelupur, First Foreign Service and Regional Employees Provident Fund Office, Pahariya were also honored by Postmaster General Mr. Krishna Kumar Yadav for giving maximum business in Speed Post service to the Postal Department.

Postmaster General Mr. Krishna Kumar Yadav said that the Department of Posts is running different types of schemes to cater the different business groups. These include Speed Post, Business Parcel, Business Post, Media Post, Bill Mail Service, Retail Post, Logistics Post, Direct Post, E-Post, E-payment, etc. After the establishment of International Business Center in Cantt Head Post Office Complex in Varanasi, sending mail abroad has also become much easier.

Mr. Yadav said that the Department of Posts has attracted the customers by introducing many customer friendly services. Prasad from many famous temples including Shri Kashi Vishwanath and pious Ganga water bottles are reaching at the door step by Speed Post. Nodal delivery center for parcel delivery and cash on delivery facility is being provided for e-commerce products. Postman has been made hi-tech through ‘Nanyatha’ app for regular clearance of letters from letter box and Postman mobile app for delivery of mails. In present scenario the postman not only brings the letters but also playing an important role in financial inclusion by becoming a mobile bank.

 On this occasion, Varanasi East Division Senior Superintendent of Post Office Rajan, Superintendent of Posts Shri Sanjay Verma, Assistant Director Ram Milan, Senior Postmaster Chandrashekhar Singh Barua, India Post Payment Bank Manager Mukta, Assistant Superintendent Ajay Kumar, RK Chauhan, Inspector Shrikant Pal, VN Dwivedi, Shashikant Kannaujia, Indrajit Pal Including all the officials and representatives of various institutions participated.
