Mission Shakti will become a model for the entire country: CM Yogi

The Uttar Pradesh Government, which is committed towards women’s safety and empowerment, has taken a big step towards developing women entrepreneursship. Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath has launched a special training programme to connect 75,000 women of 75 districts with entrepreneurship skills.

Along with this, under the ongoing Vikas Utsav programme, a helpline number- 1800-212-6844 – for women entrepreneurs, website- https://msmemissionshakti.in/ and a mobile app was launched which will provide every small piece of information regarding entrepreneurship.

Addressing the programme of the Department of Micro and Small Enterprises, CM Yogi, on Wednesday, said, “Security, respect and self-reliance are intertwined with each other. If there is an environment of security then every person can lead his/her life with dignity.”

He also unveiled postal stamps and covers based on identified ODOP products in 75 districts. The Chief Minister said that using these envelopes in official correspondence would be a great way to brand your products.

“Like One District One Product of the state, Mission Shakti Campaign will also become a model in the country,” said CM Yogi.

Today, every police station has a women’s help desk, and women’s power booths are working in the villages. Not only this, even after being the largest civil police force in the country, the number of women in the UP Police was negligible till 2017.

“Before 2017 women were not safe in the state. We made it mandatory to recruit 20 percent of women in the police department,” said the chief minister, adding, “As a result, 30,000 women constables are deployed today. In the third phase of Mission Shakti, more than 20,000 women constables were given field responsibility as beat police.”

Promoting women to give a new direction to people and society, the three-day ‘Skill Capacity Development’ training campaign is being carried forward by the MSME department in all 75 districts of the state.

With this, in the three months, these women will be provided loans, benefits of schemes, including Pradhan Mantri Mudra Yojana of the Centre and the state government.

Providing toolkits to the trainees, the CM said that after the training, these women would also be provided loans on easy instalments from banks for setting up enterprises, so that their financial needs could be met.

It is noteworthy that MSME Minister Siddharth Nath Singh and Minister of State Chaudhary Udaybhan Singh also expressed their gratitude towards India Post for the special cover and stamp. Singh also thanked the Chief Minister for the innovative thinking of ODOP and described the efforts of CM Yogi for women’s safety, respect and self-reliance as a model.
