Government releases Rs 168.96 lakh for development works in Kedarnath

Dehradun/ 31 Aug 2021: In order to reinforce and pace up the work in Kedarnath Dham the state government has released Rs 168.96 lakh on Tuesday as first installment. It is pertinent to mention that nearly an amount of Rs 422.39 lakhs has been proposed for the development in the Kedarnath Dham.

Under this fabricated rain shelter shed will be constructed between Gaurikand to Jangal Chatti Marg division of Shri Kedarnath Dham where the pedestrian route will be constructed at a released amount of Rs 53 Lakhs. Other constructions will include fabricated rain shelter shed which will be constructed between Bhimbali to Rambara Marg Division and Jangal Chatti to Bhimbali Marg Division for which an amount of Rs 58.12 and 57.54 lakh has been released by the government.

Adding further to this, Secretary Tourism Shri Dilip Jawalkar said, “Keeping the convenience of pilgrims at our utmost priority, the fabricated rain shelters are being constructed under the master plan for the development of Shri Kedarnath Dham. The development will directly benefit pilgrims coming from all over the country and abroad.”
