Sale of tricolor national flag started from Head Post Offices under the ‘Har Ghar Tiranga’ 2.0 campaign

Under the Aegis of Azadi ka amrit mahotsav this time Har Ghar Tiranga campaign will be celebrated again across the country. On this occasion, the ‘Har Ghar Tiranga’ 2.0 campaign has been announced by the Prime Minister of India, Shri Narendra Modi Ji. Under this campaign, the Prime Minister has appealed to all the citizens of the country to hoist national tricolor flag in their homes & premises from 13 to 15 August. Postmaster General of Varanasi Region Mr. Krishna Kumar Yadav told that India Post will play vital role in supply of Indian national flag to every home under ‘Har Ghar Tiranga’ 2.0 campaign. Under this, the national flag is available for sale on the e-post portal from August 1, and it’s sale has also started in Varanasi from the counters of Head Post Office situated at Visheshwarganj and Varanasi Cantt. The tricolor available for sale from the post office measures 20 X 30 inches which can be purchased just for Rs. 25/- and can be hoisted at their homes. Soon it will be available at other post offices also, said Mr. Yadav.

Postmaster General Shri Krishna Kumar Yadav said that Department of Posts has been entrusted with the responsibility to utilize its vast physical reach and manpower present in each and every corner of the country to inform the citizens about the importance of this campaign through a comprehensive outreach campaign. Accordingly, postal officials would also motivate their families and people around them to join this campaign and hoist the tricolor. Mr. Yadav told that on the occasion of 76th Independence Day, under the ‘Har Ghar Tiranga’ 2.0 campaign started by the Government of India, a selfie point will be installed in every head post office in which philately frames of stamps & special covers issued on the national flag and the freedom fighters will be displayed. Public will be encouraged to take selfies at this selfie point and share them on social media handles of India Post and Azadi ka Amrit Mahotsav tagging #Indiapost4Tiranga, #HarGharTiranga and #HarDilTiranga . Along with the campaign on social media, Prabhat Pheri will also be organized with the participation of postal workers and local citizens, during which patriotic songs will be played. In this connection, public participation will be ensured by the Department of Posts through contacting various schools, Colleges, hospitals, Police lines, PAC, Army Offices, courts etc. along with government and private sector offices. Mr. Yadav said that the postal workers will also motivate their family members and people around them to join this campaign and hoist the tricolor.
